Paul Wolfowitz, the present head of the World Bank, is outgoing. His resignation is effective June 30. President G. Bush picked Robert Zoellick as Wolfowitz’s successor. R. Zoellick, 53, has a lot of experience in foreign and economic policy in the administrations of three Republican presidents.
R. Zoellick has to be approved by the World Bank’s 24-member board. He is now a vice chairman at Wall Street giant Goldman Sachs. Zoellick’s selection provoked far less controversies when Bush chose Wolfowitz; then the Pentagon’s number two official.
The big challenges are waiting for the new the World Bank’s head. Zoellick will have to rebuild credibility inside the institution and with its member countries. It will not be easy. Many economists esteem that the World Bank isn’t in good condition.
In based on his experience, I consider that Zoellick should manage the new tasks. He for the last 30 years held important posts in government, business and higher education.
President G. Bush recommending Zoellick on the new position said, “In short, it would probably be easier to list all the jobs Bob hasn’t had”.
In my next journal, I will try to answer why Wolfowitz is leaving his lucrative position.

Hi Stefan...I read that Wolfowitz is leaving because of some scandal involving his lover and her position in the World Bank. I must say, the most trouble a man can get into somehow always seems to involve either women or war.
It's the true that men have a many trouble because of women. The former American president, Bill Clinton, is a good example in this case.
I will try to reseach which the main reason Wolfowitz's resignation is. That problem is that people sometimes value other, especially remarkable people, don't have the specific proofs. Can be interesting, is Shaha Riza Wolfowitz's lover or co-worker only. I read many versions Wolfowitz's biografies but I didn't met information about his private life. I will write more about this matter in my next journals.
