Journal 28 - Larry King's book

Larry King, who has talked with everybody from Mikhail Gorbachev to Michael Jordan, shares his secrets of how communicate effectively in any situation: a cocktail party, in a job interview, or giving a speech etc.
It will be very useful for me, because on next Tuesday, I have a presentation at my class. It is mastery to tell an audience about something interesting during 2 minutes. I will try…because I don’t have a choice. There are only my deliberations, because I know it is a good and very instructive exercise.
I go back (not …come back, it isn’t correct, okay) to King’s book. Larry provides dozens of tips that will help us master the art of conversations in both daily life and professional situations. He shows us how to break the ice with strangers and to say at a wedding or a funeral. Larry shows how we can sell ourselves to a prospective employee. These kinds of specific skills are important at present, because a competition on the job market is becoming harder and harder.
Larry’s book is illustrated with a wealth of examples from his own experience. Finally, Larry shares his keys to successful public speaking. I think that each presentation is one of them.
Larry King is famous around the world as a master of good talk. I haven’t known Larry before I didn’t borrow his book. Sorry, I watch TV programs very seldom. It is my fault. My wife knows Larry from his TV programs.
I recommend all my friends to read this book. It consists of 220 pages and vocabularies aren’t too difficult.
