Journal 25 - Gordon Brown as Tony Blair's successor

I have written in my journal that the British Prime Minister Tony Blair will leave his office in June. Blair’s successor will be Gordon Brown. He is a leading Labor Party politician in the United Kingdom. He is the country’s chief financial officer. Brown became Chancellor of the Exchequer in 1997. In 1983, he was elected to the House of Commons. Gordon Brown quickly established a reputation as a hardworking and effective representative. In 1994, John Smith suddenly passed away. At that time, many believed that Gordon should lead the party. Tony Blair became Labor’s leader. Brown decided to stand aside from the contest. At present, his time is coming.
James Gordon Brown, 51, graduated from Edinburgh University. He earned a Ph.D. in economy. Brown pursued a career as a university lecturer and a journalist.

Hmmm...I wonder if Brown will do a reversal of foreign policy and begin to withdraw British support of America's war with Iraq...
